MASTER CLASS

Master Class 1 : Story telling session (Friday, 8 March: 1430 - 1700 hrs)

About the Masterclass

There is a growing buzz about the power of stories in business. However, most people are unsure whether it really works and how does one go about it. Business storytelling is about harnessing the power of stories to help organisations and leaders to convey messages in a way that it is easy to understand, easy to remember and easy to retell. In this era of information overload and attention deficiency, well designed stories will cut through the clutter and enable the key messages to be remembered and conveyed onward with least distortion.

Skilled storytellers are more effective in connecting, engaging and inspiring the people they interact with. This Masterclass will give us ideas of how to build a sustainable storytelling organisation and how to perfect storytelling ourselves.

The Facilitator

Indranil Chakraborty is one of pioneers of business storytelling in India and is recognised as one the leading practitioners in the world. Indranil has previously worked in Marketing and Sales in the FMCG, Retail, Telecom and Hospitality industries; in organisations such as Unilever, Tata, and Mahindra Holidays. In 2013, Indranil Chakraborty (IC) founded StoryWorks. So far he has trained over 1700 leaders across multiple industries and functions in Business Storytelling. He has recently published his first book titled ‘Stories at Work – Unleash the Secret to Business Storytelling’. It has become a Best Seller.

Master Class 2 : KRO Frameworks (Friday, 8 March: 1430 - 1700 hrs)

About the Masterclass

The Knowledge Ready Organization workshop enables participants to reflect upon their organisation journey, to achieve sustained leadership and high performance, through knowledge-based strategic initiatives. Unlike the ISO and MAKE/MIKE awards, the KRO enables organisations to assess their performance based on six KM criteria – so as to establish firm foundation for future knowledge-based initiatives. This workshop will use case studies and success stories to highlight the impact KRO had on organisations that utilised it. Through interactive activities, participants will also gain better understanding of their organisation, and co-create practical initiatives that could be implemented.

Approch

The workshop will include a series of simulated exercises that facilitates diagnosis of organisation’s knowledge readiness. Participants will answer parts of a questionnaire, distributed prior to the workshop, so as to be prepared for an effective session. Through interaction and sharing, participants will acquire insightful and relevant details required for an organisation to be truly knowledge ready.
