Showcase 2022

The metaverse is a seamless convergence of physical and digital lives, creating a unified, virtual community where we can share knowledge. The metaverse is still early in its evolution, and there is no singular, all-encompassing definition to which people can turn. Themes of what the metaverse and its application usage is and could be, however, are emerging. The big tech giants are trying to lead the way in the technology. However, the decentralized aspects of the blockchain industry is letting smaller players participate in the metaverse’s development as well. The connections between the financial, virtual, and physical worlds have become increasingly linked.

The metaverse even has the promise of facilitating accessibility from the comfort of the home, breaking down boundaries and democratizing access to key goods, services, and experiences. Metaverse is still in a conceptual state and the future of virtual reality. Our daily life is about to change with the fully fledged application of the metaverse soon. It is viewed by many as the next phase of the internet, where online experiences will combine to form something of an immersive virtual experience. It combines virtual reality, augmented reality, gaming, and other digital social experiences into 3D virtual worlds. The idea is so alluring that both Big Tech companies and startups are betting their destinies on the concept.

With this background, CII Karnataka is conducting the ‘Global Knowledge Summit 2022’ on 12-13 April 2022 (Hybrid Mode). The two-day long summit shall focus on leveraging Metaverse in Knowledge Management, Unchanging fundamentals of KM & New challenges, Metaverse in Education, Technology aspects of metaverse & Academic Leverage. The theme for the Summit 2022 is “Knowledge Management & the Metaverse.” The venue is Hotel ITC Windsor Manor, Bengaluru.
