CII-KNOWLEDGE SUMMIT
Transforming Knowledge Management for Hybrid Learning and Hybrid Workplaces
Employers around the world are straddling a bridge between yesterday, when most employees at most companies were physically present at work, and tomorrow, when a vaccine or effective treatment will open the possibility of safe return to the traditional workplace. Yet even when that happens, remote work will have earned a permanent place in the employment mix. This state of affairs presents leaders with two challenges: how to manage remote working conditions amid the uncertainty of today, and how to prepare for and optimize the hybrid working models of tomorrow, in which fully in-person and remote work will be two ends of a fluid spectrum of options. The former is a necessity; the latter, an opportunity. Hybrid work models, done right, will allow organizations to better recruit talent, achieve innovation, and create value for all stakeholders. The sessions will help in defining a future of work that is more flexible, digital, and purposeful.
Confederation of Indian Industry
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of India, partnering industry, Government and civil society, through advisory and consultative processes.
For 125 years, CII has been working on shaping India’s development journey and, this year, more than ever before, it will continue to proactively transform Indian industry’s engagement in national development.
CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, with about 9100 members from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 300,000 enterprises from 288 national and regional sectoral industry bodies.

Mr Rahul Dutta
Co-Founder
AltReal Studios
I’ve been a practicing designer and emergent technology entrepreneur for over the last two decades. Am an educator and a visiting faculty across a number of institutions in India, as well as a prolific corporate trainer and pedagogical designer.
I’ve been interested in and actively practicing virtual reality since 1997. Set up one of India’s first VR studios in 2007, and have co-founded many other startups in the VR/AR space since then. I’m also a cofounder of AltReal and Hyper Reality Studio and have mentored many startups into their exciting journey of creating their amazing visions.
I wear many hats- I’m an artist, designer, coder, educator, futurist and subject matter expert in creating immersive experiences and VR/AR ecosystems. I’m also a passionate educator and spend a significant amount of my time teaching, training and conducting workshops.
I’ve been studying how to teach and learn using the immense power and potential of these new technologies for the last couple of decades. As well as using them to create amazing art and experiences…I believe strongly that any medium can be used creatively to tell your story and express your visions.
As an avid learner, I’d be more interested in helping you teach yourself than trying to teach you anything! The key lies in capturing the essential basics and then practicing them until you master them. It’s a relatively easy lesson 😉
For example, I decided in early 1995 that I would make a sketch every Saturday night and have yet to miss a single one since then…cumulatively that’s a few thousand hours of sketching. I’ve also been an avid follower and practitioner of VR since the late 90s (AR since the early ’10s,) and still am to this date.
I’m immersed in my work, one could say 🙂
I have a lot of joy and passion for what I do. I hope I can translate it effectively and interestingly to you, I’ll be updating this site with examples and thoughts as I go along. If you like what I do, please get in touch and let’s do awesome things together.

DR MICHAEL J.D. SUTTON
Innovative Researcher, Knowledge Scientist
and Learning Engineer.
Available evidence demonstrates that playing digital games contributes cognitive development. Consequently, borrowing game mechanics and elements and applying them to organizational learning processes, such as “Game-Based Learning,” provides opportunities for gamified knowledge sharing practices. A number of methods exist to match appropriate game mechanics with target specific behaviours and motivations. Often, innovations in Knowledge Management focus on the technical or structural elements of knowledge storing and codification. Less interest has focused on the range of human motivation and the behaviour of individuals to willingly share knowledge. Research has confirmed the feasibility of using gamification to increase employee motivation, especially through “game-based training.” The panelist will delve into the issues, concerns, and barriers encompassing the application of gamification to individual, team, and organizational learning.
